Pillsbury Pizza Crescent Rolls

For quick and easy meals, every mom must go to the Pillsbury Crescent Rolls and Grands Biscuit sites! We made Pizza Crescent Rolls and it was so much fun! Granted, not the healthiest, but fun, quick, yummy, and the kids can help! They have endless recipes to give a try when you are in a rut.
(and yes they are totally out of order, sorry!)

Strawberry Orange Marmalade

As promised, I did attempt homemade marmalade. Can I just say that the idea of homemade marmalade or jam is awesome because it is more economical and healthier than store bought jams. But, it is a little bit of work! And practice must make perfect because it was more difficult than I predicted. One tip I can definitely recommend is to buy canning jars. I did make the marmalade without by using my glass tupperware and aluminum foil but it was not easy. Promise to perfect and re post, but here are my pics! Also, to give credit where credit is due, I got the recipe from http://tasteofhome.com.

Magnificent Sky

On my morning walk today, my breath was taken away to the beauty and wonder of the sky. I was in awe and wanted to share the pictures I took! Hope you enjoy the view as much as I did. Now off to make some marmalade...

My personal laundry mat

Is it just me, or are we the only ones that CONSTANTLY have a pile of laundry? Clean laundry, dirty laundry, wet towel laundry, clean folded, clean and unfolded, clothes in the washer, clothes in the dryer, the list goes on and on...To keep the house looking a little less like the local laundry mat had a throw up party at your house, you may need to invest in a multiple laundry baskets. For some reason, it took me longer than it should have to realize something so logical! We like to keep 5 baskets in our home: 1 for the Mr. & Mrs., one each for both the kids, and 2 baskets for clean laundry. Try the mesh heavy duty fold up baskets! They are economically priced and the fold up feature allows them to hang in your laundry room.

Fun at the park!

Looking for free fun with the kids? HELLO, I realized we were not taken advantage of the playground in our neighborhood. If not there, many areas have a community park. We have been going there A LOT over the past few weeks. Kids get to jump and play on the playground, run around like CRAZY, and YES,YES, I did let them play with sticks! Let kids be kids, I say..

Paddington Bear!

While Domy was away at school on Friday, the girls went out for a day of their own to the movies! At the ACTUAL movie theater. With the BIG screen, and buttery popcorn, and treats. By myself with a 3 1/2 year old, oh my! In all honesty, this was not Isa's first time at the movies, but it was the first "mommy&me" adventure at the big screen. Despite the fact that we missed the last 20 minutes or so due to restlessness, we had an all around awesome time! Of course, now I am obsessed with the idea of marmalade, and plan to make some this week, so be on the lookout for an upcoming post...

Arts & Crafts Room

If you have extra space, why not create an art room or area in your home? Let your child's creativity and imagination come to life! This is a place where they can make a mess and it doesn't have to be cleaned constantly. Isa can have time to play on her own and I can have a little, if not brief, alone time while Dominic is sleeping!
